Founded in 1901 for electrical contractors, NECA publishes short brochures on the increasing variety of sophisticated electrical systems and the economics of their installation in their Electrical Design Library series. Some topics cover power quality issues.

NEMA was formed in 1926 to provide a forum for the standardization of electrical equipment. The website is a place to get information about electrical standards for motors, such as MG1, and how to order them.
