Core Gas Aggregation

PG&E's Core Gas Aggregation Service is an optional service that allows you to purchase gas directly from competitive energy suppliers. Under this gas rate option, you can purchase the gas commodity from a competitive supplier and PG&E will continue to transport and deliver gas to your facility with the same firm service priority and high level of service PG&E provides today.

PG&E requires competitive suppliers to meet stringent credit and gas delivery requirements. If a competitive supplier fails to meet these requirements, their customers would continue to receive uninterrupted gas service directly from PG&E: PG&E would not interrupt gas service to a customer due to a default by the competitive supplier.

Competitive gas suppliers can provide additional and customized services, beyond those offered by PG&E. For instance, PG&E changes its natural gas price each month to reflect market conditions; a competitive gas supplier may be able to offer you alternative pricing options if gas price fluctuations are a concern to you or your business. PG&E does not recommend or endorse energy suppliers, but we encourage you to discuss and compare the options they make available to you.
