Oil and natural gas are found in underground traps. In this activity, you’ll learn about some important properties of both reservoir rock and the hydrocarbons it contains.

Gas, water, and oil are usually located together underground. If a geologist drills a bore hole (a well) into a trap, in what order will the three substances be found? This activity will show you.
