This identifies the type of utility service you receive and the rate schedule used to calculate your bill. Your electric rate schedule determines how your charged for your monthly bills.

The way your home is heated determines the amount of baseline electricity that is allocated to you. If your home is heated by electricity, your baseline allowance is higher.
Baseline Quantity - The maximum usage that can be billed at the lowest price, for a particular rate schedule. The Baseline Quantity varies by season climate zone and your heat source.
Baseline Usage - The amount of gas usage within the Baseline Quantity.
Over Baseline Usage - The amount of gas used above the Baseline Quantity and billed at the higher price per therm.



















Your electricity usage varies based on the time of the year. Depending on your climate zone, the baselines allocated during the two seasons are different. Summer rate schedules are applicable from May 1 to October 31. Winter rate schedules are applicable from November 1 to April 30.
