SmartDay™ Calendar

SmartDays™ are called on especially hot days between May 1 and October 31, when demand for electricity can reach an extreme level.
(See FAQs: “What is a SmartDay” for more details). A SmartDay will only be called on a weekday and never on a holiday.
Here’s what happens on a SmartDay:
  • A courtesy SmartDay notification will be sent by phone, email, or both the business day before.
  • Shift your energy use between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • No more than 15 SmartDays will be called each season.

Update Your SmartDay Notification Preferences

  • Customers who are notified one day prior to a SmartDay have the best opportunity to save on their bills because they have time to prepare.
