You can apply for a monthly discount on your electric bill through the Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) program if your household meets the program guidelines.

  • Enroll using My Energy. Log in, then click on the Pay & Manage tab and scroll down for the link to CARE/FERA Program Application.

Recertify

You must recertify for the FERA program every two years. Three months before your discount expires, you will receive a letter and recertification application from PG&E giving you the opportunity to reapply if you still qualify under the current program guidelines.

  • Recertify using My Energy. Log in, then click on the Pay & Manage tab and scroll down for the link to CARE/FERA Program Application.
  • Or recertify using our easy online form in English, Spanish and Chinese.

You can request a recertification application to be mailed to you by calling the FERA program at 1-800-743-5000 or emailing CAREandFERA@pge.com.

Cancel Enrollment and Opt Out Future CARE/FERA Communications

  • Cancel enrollment using My Energy. Log in, then click on the Pay & Manage tab and scroll down for the link to CARE/FERA Program Application.
  • Cancel enrollment and opt out future CARE/FERA communications by using our easy online form in English. Form available in English only.

You can also cancel your enrollment and opt out future CARE/FERA communications by calling the FERA program at 1-800-743-5000 or emailing CAREandFERA@pge.com.
