Net Energy Metering Monthly Statement

Customers in the NEM program are on a 12-month billing cycle called the "true-up period." As a NEM customer, you'll receive two bills each month:

  • Your Net Energy Metering (NEM) Electric Statement, which provides details about your net charges and credits (based on your electric rate schedule) as well as your meter reads (see below).
  • Your regular monthly PG&E bill, which will cover your minimum charges for electricity and any applicable gas charges (see next page).

You can apply for a monthly discount on your electric bill through the Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) program if your household meets the program guidelines.

Recertify

You must recertify for the FERA program every two years. Three months before your discount expires, you will receive a letter and recertification application from PG&E giving you the opportunity to reapply if you still qualify under the current program guidelines.

  • Recertify using My Energy. Log in, then click on the Pay & Manage tab and scroll down for the link to CARE/FERA Program Application.
  • Or recertify using our easy online form in English, Spanish and Chinese.

You can request a recertification application to be mailed to you by calling the FERA program at 1-800-743-5000 or emailing CAREandFERA@pge.com.

Cancel Enrollment and Opt Out Future CARE/FERA Communications

  • Cancel enrollment using My Energy. Log in, then click on the Pay & Manage tab and scroll down for the link to CARE/FERA Program Application.
  • Cancel enrollment and opt out future CARE/FERA communications by using our easy online form in English. Form available in English only.
