Supplier Diversity
Supplier Diversity Program - Since 1980
PG&E is committed to providing diverse suppliers with economic opportunities to supply products and services required by PG&E.
We Reflect the Communities We Serve
A diverse supplier is defined as 51 percent owned by a woman, minority or disabled veteran (WMDVBE) who manages and controls the firm’s day-to-day business operations. Firms must be located in the United States or its territories; and the owners must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. Learn how to become a certified diverse supplier.
In 2008, PG&E achieved its highest level of diversity spending at $754.7 million or 23.9 percent. This percentage represents the third consecutive year, PG&E surpassed the cummulative percentage established by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) for procurement from diverse vendors. We met this goal both through contracting directly with diverse firms and through our prime contractors sub-contracting with diverse firms. Register and create a supplier profile with PG&E.
