Capacity Allocation Factors & As-Delivered Capacity Value Announcement
On March 7, 1997, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) adopted PG&E's 1996 General Rate Case Phase 2. In this Decision (D.97-03-017), the CPUC adopted new capacity allocation factors (CAFs) and a new as-delivered capacity value effective April 1, 1997. The new CAFs will be used to calculate firm and as-delivered capacity payments for energy deliveries beginning April 1, 1997, and replace existing seasonal average CAFs of 9.32 percent Winter and 90.68 percent Summer. The new CAFs are summarized in the following table:
