Energy-Efficiency Program Evaluation

Pacific Gas and Electric Company offers a variety of energy-efficiency programs to help customers save energy and to help utilities successfully manage energy consumption. The Measurement and Evaluation Program monitors such programs to ensure they are effective and valuable to our customers.

Why We Evaluate Our Energy-Efficiency Programs

Assessment of energy-efficiency efforts has become more important with the recent energy crisis and with the variety of promotions, products and programs available to customers who wish to save energy. Measurement and Evaluation publishes reports explaining which programs work and are cost effective. This information is used for future program planning.

Energy-Efficiency Programs

Energy-efficiency programs provide conservation information, education, special support services, rebates and other incentives. They target the three categories of customers in our energy market: residential, business and new construction. There are also programs designed to be administered by third parties.
