Menu of Possible California Gas Trasmission Transactions

Pacific Gas and Electric Company's California Gas Transmission Group has engaged in the following transactions with its affiliates:

  • An affiliate signed up for a specific type of transmission service or assumed an assignment from another entity. These transactions are separately posted on PG&ampE's PipeRanger web site.
  • The affiliate may request a change in its contractual maximum daily quantity.
  • An affiliate canceled service.
  • An affiliate assigned its capacity to another entity.
  • An affiliate added or subtracted an end-use customer from its Noncore Balancing Aggregation Agreement.
  • An affiliate becomes nominating marketer and/or authorized to trade imbalances for an enduser and indicates what information concerning the customer account they will receive (i.e. billing, OFO/EFO notification, imbalance statements).
  • Either PG&E or the affiliate informed the other of an update to their customer account information.

Transactions may involve the following transfer of information or services:

  • An affiliate signs a Gas Transmission Service Agreement and related exhibits or Noncore Balancing Aggregation Agreement and related exhibits.
  • The affiliate's creditworthiness is established or altered with PG&E.
  • The affiliate nominates supply on PG&E Gas Transaction System. They may ask question pertaining to the process of nomination which is covered in PG&E's Nominate! Booklet.
  • The affiliate requests to sign PG&E's Electronic System Service Agreement and to obtain a password and training on how to use the system.
  • The affiliate may call to ask if an Operational Flow Order or Emergency Flow Order, Diversion or Curtailment is in effect.
  • The affiliate requests its own accounts supply, delivery, or balance information.
  • The affiliate requests its own or its endusers' accounts billing information.
  • The bill is sent to the individual affiliate.
  • The affiliate asks about a calculation in its bill, requests a second copy of the bill or asks for an explanation of a charge within the bill.
  • The affiliate may request information about deadlines for imbalance trading or their individual account's balance.

Through May 6, 2004, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has received and responded to 227 transactions with an unregulated affiliate relating to gas transmission. These transactions may include multiple communications over time regarding one or more of the items listed in "California Gas Transmission Menu," above.
