PG&E Puts Public Safety First on California's Fire Lines
POLLOCK PINES – The King Fire in El Dorado County spread overnight (Sept. 18), more than doubling in size to more than 70,000 acres and forcing several thousand residents to evacuate their homes since it ignited. PG&E is working with CAL FIRE, the U.S. Forest Service and other first responders standing by to de-energize power lines as needed to ensure firefighter and public safety. At this time, it is too dangerous for PG&E crews to access and assess any possible damage to utility facilities.PG&E Puts Public Safety First on California's Fire Lines
