Hunters Point Power Plant Closure and Cleanup
Local Jobs

PG&E is continuing the successful local hiring program that has been in place since dismantling work began in 2007. While PG&E expects the cleanup to generate fewer jobs than what was available during dismantling because the cleanup is less labor intensive, the company expects more jobs for truckers who have good safety records and operate safe equipment. PG&E is coordinating its local hiring program with the City of San Francisco’s CityBuild program and local labor leaders, as we have done in the past. For more information, contact CityBuild at (415) 401-4889 or go to CityBuild's website.
PG&E is proud of the local jobs that have been created at the site since the plant closed, and we look forward to continuing this partnership with the community.
