Energy Assistance
For those suffering financial hardship, what is essential may not be attainable. To assist those who are in jeopardy of losing their home energy services, the Relief for Energy Assistance through Community Help (REACH) program provides emergency financial assistance to income qualified customers. For more than 25 years, the REACH Program has provided critical assistance to more than 10,000 families each year.
REACH is a one-time energy-assistance program sponsored by PG&E and administered through The Salvation Army from 170 offices in Northern and Central California. REACH assistance may be available once within an 18-month period, but exceptions can be made for seniors, the physically challenged and the terminally ill.
If you are interested in helping those in need in your own community, you may donate directly to The Salvation Army. In appreciation of your support, PG&E will match every dollar donated - up to $1.5 million dollars pledged. Additionally, we'll paying 100% of all administration costs, so your help will reach even more of those in need.
