As a part of California's history for more than 100 years, PG&E believes it is our responsibility to contribute to the growth and vitality of the communities we serve. Our community development programs help build and sustain businesses, create jobs and broaden the income and tax base of our region. We know every individual dollar we put into the community contributes to its larger success and helps invigorate the neighborhoods where we live and work.
Supporting Local Entities and Efforts
As 20,000 men and women who live and work in communities across California, PG&E employees personally donated $4.8 million last year alone to nonprofit organizations. These included local schools, regional charities, food banks and other organizations that impact and improve life for others. PG&E funds 100% of all administrative costs, and matches donations to accredited schools, environmental organizations and scholarship funds to extend the reach and generosity of our local employees.
Offering Multilingual Services
PG&E seeks to reflect the state we serve. Our customer service phone lines serves customers in more than 20 languages, and many of our forms and brochures are published in several languages.
