REACH (Relief for Energy Assistance through Community Help)
Help Paying Energy Bills When Families Need It Most
As an energy company serving the majority of Californians, we have a responsibility to help customers who are in danger of losing their electricity and gas services because of financial hardship. The Relief for Energy Assistance through Community Help (REACH) program provides one-time emergency financial assistance for those who need it most.
In partnership with The Salvation Army for over 25 years, PG&E provides critical financial assistance for gas and electric services to thousands of families each year. Support for the program comes primarily from a charitable grant from PG&E, but our employees and customers also contribute donations. As the program’s sponsor, PG&E pays 100 percent of all administration costs, ensuring that 100 percent of the charitable donations reach even more of those in need.
PG&E has partnered with The Salvation Army on the REACH program for over 25 years, providing thousands of families with energy credits when they need it most.
Families experiencing an uncontrollable or unforeseen hardship may receive an energy credit up to $250, once in an 18-month period, with exceptions made for seniors, the physically challenged and the terminally ill who are eligible for more frequent assistance.
