Entry Engineer Rotational Program

Entry-level engineers will participate in a twelve-month rotational training and development program. This program includes classroom training courses, mentoring, field trips, networking events and job shadowing.

Training rotations provide a new engineer with hands-on experience and valuable insight to the ins and outs of working in a utility. We offer a focus in our California Gas Transmission (CGT) and Transmission and Distribution (T&D) organizations. Upon completion of the training program, new engineers will acquire the background and experience needed to perform their job upon completion of the training program.

Each entry-level engineer is assigned a mentor who provides personal attention and support throughout the training program.

Managers in Training (MIT) Program

PG&E's MIT Program prepares new college hires for leadership roles in the Customer Operations team. Shortly following their start date, program participants are immersed in a classroom-based learning environment which takes them through the foundations of the organization. The in-class learning seminars are complemented by field department site visits to provide a vital background of the organization and key departments. Besides the departments themselves, other key learning topics include:

• Compliance and Ethics
• Diversity and Inclusion
• Work Success
• Performance Management
• Gas and Electric Business Understanding
• Customer Care and Billing

Program participants receive a comprehensive experience of the organization and foundational skills that will contribute to success in their new role.
